Leaving the camera alone results in 50s, moving it dips down into the 30s. The same thing happens when I move around the map. But if I even nudge the angle of the camera a fraction the game will plummet down into the 30s while I spin the camera and then rise back up to the 50s when I stop moving the camera. If I set the camera at one angle and leave the game alone the frame rate will rise to the 50s. Yeah, the funny thing is that the frame rate is doing some really wierd things. I've really had trouble with Nvidia/drivers this year - you may be on to something there (and/or the ATI). Yeah my fans could support a small plane. Or it could be a combination of CPU, GPU, and SLI issues for me. I think the game is just bottlenecking on the CPU, though my GPU sounds like a jet engine ready for takeoff while playing, so that has me wondering if the CPU is doing just fine and the GPU is to blame. I have an SLI setup, but Nvidia just released a new SLI profile for D:OS so unless that is a faulty profile then the SLI issues are not the stem of my performance issue or others.
I haven't made up my mind yet if the issue resides more with Larian or more with Nvidia and ATI. Yeah, this is a problem that is the result of poor streaming of assets and CPU bottlenecking on one core as well as improper use of the GPU. Yeah, your system should be easily able to play this game at well over 100 frames per second. The game will have another optimization or is my computer spec is really not that good? My computer meets the recommended settings, and the auto detect put the game on ultra, but the FPS keeps 30 - 45.It's playable for sure, but I was hoping to get 60 FPS.
